Twitter Rolls Out Great New Feature 

Great new way to share with your friends on Twitter ... New and Private as well ... With this new feature  it is possible to share tweets privately with others  in direct messages ....  What a great way to share a sensitive tweet with a loved one .... 

 

This great feature was announced on Good Morning America..    The Article presented is as follows : 

The social networking platform announced that private tweet sharing is now available to users, allowing them to flag a particular tweet they wish to share with a friend via direct message.

Take it for a spin on the Twitter iOS and Android apps by long pressing a tweet in your timeline that you'd like to send to a friend. Then choose "Share via Direct Message."

The functionality also works on the Twitter website and TweetDeck. Tap the "..." icon and then choose "Share via Direct Message."

The recipient will get a push alert and the tweet will be integrated into the existing private conversation.

Keeping in touch with your Best Friends 

Just got easier. 

Facebook has just released it's  Group App for Android and iOS. 

 

Here is how it works :    When you open the app, you’ll see all your Facebook Groups in one place. Groups you use most frequently are at the top, and you can quickly move between each group.

 

You can still use Facebook Groups in the main Facebook app and on desktop,

Install the new app and have some fun connecting with only the people that are the most important in your life ....

Facebook has created a brand new way to tell your friends , family members, pals, or significant other Thank you ....    It can be utilized on your desktop, laptop or smart phone and is so fun to use and send ... Your fans, friends will love it and better yet ... It comes with music as well . 

HERE IS HOW IT WORKS: 

To create a Say Thanks video, visit facebook.com/thanks. Once you choose a friend, Facebook will generate a preview of the video. You’ll have the ability to select a different theme and edit photos and posts that represent your friendship.

When you’re satisfied with the video, click “Share” — you will have the option of writing a personalized message before posting. The video will post on your Timeline and your friend will be tagged, so it will show up on their Timeline as well.

Say Thanks will be rolling out today globally on both desktop and mobile in English, French, German, Indonesian, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish and Turkish.

Blogging with the Android App

This SSS free tutorial is created to teach you how to install the Blogger app on your Android Smartphone.  This app  will give you the ability to post on your blog at anytime in any place and whenever you want to create ...

STEP 1. 

Locate the "Play Store" on your Android ... It is in your  phone "Settings"   Then "click / tap" on the play store icon .

In the search bar at the top of your next android window  type in  the word "blogger app"  when the BLOGGER icon pops up "click / tap" on it and go to the next window .

Smartphone and Twitter

Multiple twitter accounts are easier to manage on your phone if you use the "twitter app" account manager.   It becomes a breeze to bounce back and forth from one account to the other as needed after you get it all set up..  Here are some screen shots from my android that shows you just how easy this setup is ...

The first step is tap on the three tiny dots in the top right corner ....

After you have added all accounts simply close the window and then you are ready to tweet on every account you own in just a few steps

Linking apps together now gives the  developer the capability to link to another site with the ease of one press of a button ..
The first experience I had was between Facebook mobile app and Facebook messenger app.  Easily bouncing from one app to the other with the tap of app button I needed ...
 simple and fast .. OR easy peasy .... 

AppLinks allows a user togo from a link in one Facebook  mobile-integrated app to another without the conduit of a mobile browser and login friction

A second great example of this ability for developers is here:

Smartphone marketing

Most people now have smartphones, using them for social media marketing just makes GOOD SENSE . They are fast and most have very nice camera capabilities.  This is the reason Instagram has been such a huge success .. All you need to do is install the "app" on your phone create an account and take pictures using the instagram program ... Instagram has provided us with a wonderful editing capabilities as well and tagging so you can be sure your Best Friends will see your photos right away ...

Delete Conversations on FB

Is your Facebook page slowing down and loading time getting to be a pain ? 

Just a couple of weeks ago I was struggling with my Facebook slowing and even sometimes freezing up and not running at all...  I had worked on my computer and scanned for viruses to no avail... Nothing I did was working to speed up my page... 

One afternoon, I was talking to a dear friend  about my page and told him of my problem,  he asked me if I had been deleting my chat and message histories ... I laughed and said "No" ..... He advised I should check and see if I had very many ... So I went into my  HOME wall (the news feed)  and clicked on messages and ... shazammmmm ...... there were messages from almost 5 years ago still setting in my history ... I had never thought about my messages creating a problem, but I was wanting to try it and see what happened ... So every day I deleted 10 messages and after about 2 weeks of  deleting ... my Facebook page quit freezing up ... and in another week of message deleting it started to upload faster .... 

Today a friend contacted me and  told me about her page,  it was not acting correctly and after chatting with her for a few minutes I knew exactly what to tell her to do ....

How To Delete Your Fan Page

Do you have too many Fan Pages?

Maybe you have too many pages to maintain or maybe you have created one using the incorrect name.. Whatever, the reason your SSS team has created a four step pictorial that shows an easy way to delete your unwanted fan page .  Just follow these short steps and your page will be deleted by Facebook.

How To Protect Yourself on Facebook

EASY PEASY PRIVACY SHORTCUTS .....

This short tutorial has been created to show a very simple way to find and set your FB privacy settings on your  page ....

Step one:

On the top right side of your page in the blue bar is a little padlock icon .... once you locate it click on it and a new drop down window will open . 

Step Two:

Click on the red arrow and each section will open up with the available options for you to chose your wanted settings for friends and how to keep people from being a bother...

This will take you to the  MAIN SETTINGS page ... that was touched on in our previous post .  HERE IS THE LINK for that tutorial if you missed it ....

MANAGE THE APP ACCESS ON YOUR FB PROFILE

How to manage APPS and the access they have on your Facebook profile....

Did you know that once you give an APP access to your facebook page ... It can access your page at anytime... Even when you are not actively using Facebook .... When that happens, you will appear to be active to friends.   

All of us here at SHARING SOCIAL STUFF .. SSS .... want you to have the control over your page so we have created this FREE tutorial to show you exactly how to do that .... There are many steps to this  Free Tutorial, however; if you will use them your page will work more as you like.  Likewise if you are using only trusted and  dependable APPs  then your computer will run better as well .... 

Here we go:   

STEP ONE:

To locate the APPs manage page .... Click on the drop down arrow at the top right corner of your FB page. 

On the drop down window, locate and click on the word SETTINGS,  this will take you to the next step needed to reach the app  management page 

STEP TWO:

On the left side of this page you will find all the pages that are included in your SETTING. Locate the APP icon and click on it, this will take you to the APPs management page

STEP THREE:

The  X on the right side of the each APP if clicked  will give you the option to remove that particular APP.

It is best to remove all uneeded and untrusted APPs from your page.  In doing this often you will have more control over how your page is accessed ..

STEP FOUR: 

On this window please hover your mouse in the area just in front of the word EDIT and a small pencil icon will appear. click on this icon to restrict / allow each particular APP you have chosen to use on your page .

STEP FIVE:

There is much more in the SETTINGS section of your profile and all are important to become familiar with, FB is constantly undergoing updates and changes and the more familiar you become with the SETTINGS the more control you will have over what happens as FB grows and changes ...
